Yelapa is such an amazing place. We have been three times and Lucas and his
staff are the greatest! Our first time there, we stayed two weeks and didn't
want to leave. It was the best vacation with all our children as well! Looking
forward to returning next year.

Just got back from the best trip ever. Hotel Lagunita, the staff, food and rooms were a slice of hidden paradise. Lucas and all the spa ladies were wonderful. I also loved the dogs. We are already planning to return.

The hotel is great, the staff and service are wonderful, you'll never want to leave. Lucas and his staff made my wedding far more beautiful than I had ever imagined, and easily affordable. I also recommend spending at least a week, 4 days was just not enough. We will be back every year for our anniversary. Thank you, Thank you!!

I first found Yelapa in 87 & have been back 9 times. If I don't go every other year I am in serious withdrawals. No hotel the first time and stayed on the beach in a palapa rented by Patricia and Valentine. She's a Portland transplant and they are GREAT people. Since Lucas and company took over the hotel it has modernized but just hope they don't get tooooo modern. Lucas is "almost" as charming as his late Father.. just kidding. This place is PARADISE and all of the friends and family I have taken over the years agree totally. See you next winter.

Back in the early 70's I took a vacation from Hawaii and I found Yelapa. I stayed a month and it was one of the most extraordinary experiences of my life. I was so taken by the place, that when I returned to Hawaii I sold everything (which wasn't much) withdrew my saving (also not much) and headed back to Yelapa to live. It was paradise. I lived at the hotel for a month or so and eventually rented a house from the community (it was called CASA TATE named after the original constructors and inhabitants) It is still there though it is in need of care. I lived there for about a year until my money ran out. I was never happier. The people of Yelapa were warm and friendly. they made me feel like one of them. I recently returned to Yelapa on vacation with my son so I could show him where Dad used to live, and I was so pleased to find that there were still people who remembered me. Clemente seemed really pleased to see me and my son. If you really "getting away from it all" and you haven't discovered Yelapa then you have a real treat awaiting you.

I first got to Yelapa in 78 and spent 4 times 6 months which have been the most happy time in my life. I have been coming back there regularly until I settle there hopefully. I haven't heard anybody who did not feel like in paradise in Yelapa. Many people would say happily in the morning "One more day in f...g paradise". Yelapa is an art of life that one cannot apprehend in 5/10 days. And then it's too late : you are addicted... It is a pearl, people are friendly and so close to the US the prices are still OK. As for me I love the village people who are so kind and easy going... I like to say all my love to Clemente and his Brother Pirri, the waterfall, stand whose wife cooks up wonderful breakfast. Please tell Graziela to convey all my tremendous love Doña Mercedes and her wonderful family. I love you folks :you are my world !!!!

I took a boat trip while staying in Puerto Vallarta to your lovely spot Yelapa, and vowed to come back to stay next time! I will be visiting end of May for two weeks, I can't wait to relax and eat guacamole and chips on the beach!!! Maybe you can keep the daily rains to a minimal!! See you all soon!
